The City's 1999 Park and Open Space Plan identified a public open space corridor to be located within the Greenway development. In 2001, one outlot (2.15 acres) was deeded to the City by Lundgren Brothers Construction for the purpose of this greenway. The land dedication met the developer's park dedication fund contribution for the entire Greenway plat. The trail was constructed in two phases during the construction of the development and is part of the Ipava Greenway.
