Planning for the Lakeville-Farmington segment of the North Creek Greenway (PDF) began in 2014 and construction commenced in late 2023. The segment will be 2.2 miles of the 14 mile greenway and runs from 173rd St. in Lakeville to 189th St. in Farmington. The greenway will cross over North Creek in two locations, provide improved accessibility over 173rd St. and provide a regional connection to local trails, sidewalks and parks. East Community Park and North Creek Park are both located along 1.2 miles of the Lakeville segment. Once completed, the greenway will travel from Lebanon Hills Regional Park to Vermillion River Modified Wildlife Management Area.
