Concessions Policy

Purpose

The intent of the City of Lakeville is to generally not allow concessions of concessionaires in city parks except as outlined below. The purpose of this policy is to determine whom the City of Lakeville will offer concession privileges to and under what terms it will offer such privileges.

  1. Concession privileges in Lakeville City Parks and City Park buildings will only be granted with pre-approval by the Parks and Recreation Director to the following recognized Lakeville Athletic Groups and Clubs.

Recognized Lakeville Athletic Groups & Clubs:

Youth Athletic Groups: This includes ISD #194, ISD #196, ISD #192, Lakeville Private Schools (All Saints), Lakeville Baseball Association (LBA), Lakeville Soccer Club (LSC), Lakeville Fastpitch Softball Association (LFSA), Lakeville Football Association (LFA), Lakeville Lacrosse (LL), Lakeville Hockey Association (LHA), Rosemount Area Athletic Association (RAAA), Farmington Athletic Association (FAA), other clubs and individuals teams with roster of 50% or more Lakeville residents (must provide roster with request).

Adult Athletic Groups: Lakeville Softball League, Lakeville Men’s Baseball Team.

Facilities with concessions operations as an option. Priority of concession operations will be granted to the primary user of the facility. If the main user declines to operate concessions, it is open for review to any of the above.

  • Aronson Park: Primary user, Lakeville Fastpitch Softball Association
  • Steve Michaud Park: Primary user, Lakeville Soccer Club
  • King Park: Primary user, Lakeville Baseball Association
  • Quigley-Sime Park: Primary user, Lakeville Baseball Association
  1. All other concessions or concessionaires will not be allowed to operate in Lakeville Parks or Park Buildings unless pre-approved on a case-by-case basis as determined by the Parks and Recreation Director.
  2. The City of Lakeville will enforce that all concessionaires abide by the City policies, including those applying to risk management, non-discrimination, personnel, and food service sanitation.
  3. Proof of general liability insurance coverage at a minimum amount of $500,000 for property damage and bodily injury naming the City of Lakeville as an additional insured on the policy.
  4. The recognized Lakeville athletic groups and clubs that have been granted concession privileges agrees to grant the City of Lakeville the right to use and operate any concession related equipment that is housed in a Lakeville Park building for any special events or cosponsored programs run by the Lakeville Parks and Recreation Department at no cost to the City.
  5. In lieu of paying a fee to the City to operate a concession stand, recognized Lakeville Athletic Groups and Clubs who operate a concession will work with the City to provide input and financial assistance on selected, mutually agreed upon, improvement projects at Lakeville Parks, Park buildings and Park facilities.
  6. The City reserves the right to terminate any concessions privileges granted at any time without liability if the terms of this policy are not complied with or for other good and reasonable cause.
